The Course is very interactive and you will be supplied with all materials. By the end of this course you will be able to:

•Describe the role of the Supervisor

•Discuss how the Supervisor is a Leader within an Organisation

•Compare and contrast qualities of good and bad leaders

•Identify how to create suitable objectives within an Organisation

•Define delegation

•Identify types of delegation and when delegation could be used

•Describe procedures to take when faced with employee issues

•Complete key documentation including Return to Work Interviews and Investigations

•Demonstrate effective communication techniques (active listening, questioning, assertiveness)

•Identify when decisions should be escalated to Managers and when decisions can be made by Supervisors

•Describe the key record keeping processes associated with decision making

•Discuss the need for performance management

•Describe the uses of performance management and feedback tools
