IQ Level 5 Certificate for Security Management Professionals. This 150 hour course, split over 8 Units at Level 5, is the equivalent working level to that of a ‘Foundation Degree’ in the UK.

This course will provide the most up-to-date knowledge and a complete understanding of Modern Security and will greatly enhance your career opportunities within the security industry, whether you are a newcomer to security operations or an existing professional
who wishes to enhance their professional development. The course consists of 8 Units with a minimum of 150 guided learning hours in total. It covers an understanding of what modern Security Management entails, the main ways in which Security supports an Organisation,
how it addresses risk, current and emerging threats and the concept of modern security convergence. Units cover the following:
Unit 1: Modern Security Management for Business – Modern Security Management for Business is designed to show how Modern Security Management should be integrated within a Business. There is an ever-increasing need today to properly understand the role and capabilities of a Modern Security Professional and how Security can best support the Business or Client.
Unit 2: Threats of Today and Tomorrow – Threats of Today and Tomorrow covers current and emerging threats facing Businesses. This Unit will guide you through them and advise you to conduct further research to aid in your understanding.
Unit 3: What is Security Management? This Unit describes the extensive measures available for reducing risks as a Modern Professional Security Manager. It highlights becoming a business enabler and how to integrate security into the business.
Unit 4: Security Management Risk Mitigation – Security Management Risk Mitigation introduces the Risk Assessment methodology and how to reduce risk through the implementation of Security measures. It also provides the correct
vocabulary when discussing the term risk within a business.
