Have you been working for over 3 years in a supervisory or management position in a kennels, rescue centre or other industry? Have no formal qualification? or have you completed your City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma or similar?

The Canine Studies College is pleased to announce that we run and actively support learners to achieve a progressive career path that takes them to Level 4 (and then above) to recognise quality skills and knowledge as an experienced professional, especially within the canine industry. Our City & Guilds Level 4 Professional Recognition Award is aimed at dog groomers, kennel staff, dog walkers, dog trainers and dog behaviourists - (but is also available to anybody outside of the canine industry working within a professional supervisory or management position or is self employed such as plumbers, electricians and builders)

What would you need to have achieved to work towards recognition at level 4? 

have first line responsibility for managing day to day activities
• manage resources in own area of responsibility
• constructively work with others to develop and maintain good working relationships
• develop and maintain good customer relationships
• identify and access opportunities for professional development
• be able to apply professional standards in own area of responsibility
• communicate effectively and manage information in line with organisational and legal requirements
• consistently meet aims and objectives
• exercise autonomy and judgement in work role
• consider the views and perspectives of others in decision making
• address problems that are well-defined but non-routine

Payment Plan Option Fully Taught Option 

Course payment may be made by instalments. There is a 10% 'Payment Management and Administration Fee' for this service. When considering this qualification it is important to assess existing time commitments so that there is a comfortable and sensible balance between work, study and home life. We recommend a minimum of nine months to a year to complete this course, however some students have completed within 6 months. Portfolio production, evidence collection and project planning, implementation and evaluation take time, so allow at least 1 to 2 days a week study time (Approximately 5 to 10 hours a week). 

Payment Plan.  Course Fee £1,200 plus 10% £120 = £1,320. Monthly payments available over 12 months. Initial payment of £320 followed by 10 payments of £100 

Payments must be made in full before qualification can be released.
